ABOUT VILLAGE SQUARE BUFFET
Fantastic food has always been an important part of the Horseshoe experience, and no Chicago restaurant typifies that commitment more than the Village Square Buffet. Lauded in reviews and widely recognized as a best bet for buffets, Village Square is truly a legendary dining experience, overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan.
At our internationally inspired food stations, your favorite dishes are prepared with attention to authenticity. Our Italian station serves brick oven pizza and made-to-order dishes. Our Latin station features fajitas, Puerto Rican rice, guacamole and chips, chipotle BBQ ribs and chorizo. The American Heritage offerings include southern style comfort fare and a bountiful meat carving station, with all the sides.
Our Asian station features Chinese and pan-Asian flavors, made-to-order dishes and a dynamic menu that changes monthly. At the seafood bar at Village Square Buffet, dig into crawfish, chilled shrimp, New England clam chowder and a monthly special Asian seafood soup. A soup and salad bar, complete with Horseshoe’s famous chili, and delectable desserts, round out the mouth-watering bounty of bold flavors at the Horseshoe Hammond Chicago buffet.

During the month of May, we have put together a great menu that includes all "Mediterranean" foods that features Chicken Souvlaki, Mackerel with Roasted Red Pepper and Garlic, Grilled Swordfish Steaks with Olive Tapenade, Athen's Fries (fresh lemon juice, oregano, and feta crumbles), Spanikopita Casserole, Lamb Stew with Cous Cous, Lemon Rice Soup, Skordalia (garlic potato dip), Fried Calamari, Baba Ghanoush, Heirloom Tomato, Rosemary, Ricotta Salata Salad, Roasted Vegetable Orzo Salad, Spicy Tomato, Cucumber, Fennel Salad, and much more! “Taste of Chicago” Specialty Station – May 23rd and 30th
Come celebrate the different Tastes of Chicago at Village Square Buffet. The “Taste of Chicago” specialty station will be available on May 23rd and 30th. It will include "Maxwell Street" Chicago Style Hot Dogs, "Vienna Beef/Gold Coast Dogs" Beer Bratwurst with Sauerkraut, "Cubby Bear" BBQ Beef Sliders (thinly sliced prime rib and BBQ sauce), "Billy Goat Tavern" Cheezeborger & Chips (mini waygu & ground beef sliders), "Al's" #1 Italian Beef, "Harry Caray's Tavern" Fried Calamari, "Carson's" BBQ Ribs, "Lou Malnati's" Famous Chicago Deep Dish Pizzas, "Shaw's Crab House" Buffalo Shrimp, "Cubby Bear" Garlic Fries, "Adobo Grill" Flautas (chicken and cheese and cheese and jalapeno), "Oak Street Beach Café" Grilled Vegetable Foccacia Sandwiches, and much more! Mangia! Mangia! With all the Italian food to choose from, you can't go hungry! Homemade pasta and sauces add that special home made touch that we all search for. Clean up your plate with a slice of cheesy tomato garlic bread. Brick oven pizza is always hot and ready. Special requests served by an interactive culinary attendant.
Latin:
Fajitas, Puerto Rican rice, chipotle BBQ ribs, grilled corn on the cob, fresh guacamole, chips, beans, chorizo links, tamales, chicken and shrimp dish (changes monthly) and displayed and served by an interactive culinary attendant. These are a few examples along with freshly prepared condiments.
American Heritage:
Welcome to a classic American southern comfort fare including a bountiful meat/carving station, slow roasted beef brisket, Virginia style ham, roasted turkey, fried chicken, greens, mashed potatoes made with whole butter and heavy cream, macaroni and cheese from scratch, and 'till 3pm we offer a variety of breakfast items.
Dinner items include our famous slow roasted prime rib,beef pot roast, braised ox tails, baked chicken with cornbread stuffing, Horseshoe southern fried chicken, BBQ ribs, prime rib, a variety of chicken wings including buffalo, and honey mustard BBQ and corn cakes. Asian:
Chinese and Asian influenced flavors through out Pan Asian cultures. This station spotlights attention to detail and emphasis on authenticity. Menu changes monthly. Special requests served by an interactive culinary attendant.
Soup and Salad Bar:
At this station, you can "build your own salad" or have the chef prepare and toss the house specialty. The salad bar offers the freshest available and in season fruits and vegetables as well as a delectable selection of house made compound salads and house made soups including Horseshoe's famous chili. Delectable Desserts:
Upon entering the buffet, the first thing to catch your senses is the extravagant dessert bar. From cookies and cupcakes, to mousses and pies, we have something to fill any taste bud. Don't forget to save room for some cobblers, famous Horseshoe bread pudding, crème brulee, million dollar pie, Horseshoe favorites and our signature items.
